Ugh, I have 40 more papers to grade and a final to study for. At the rate I'm going, it'll be atleast another 5 hours just grading. 🙁

New topic because I'm still grading papers (only about 15 more to go!) and bored.

Anyone doing anything cool? I'm not. I'm watching someone's cat for a while. I might go to Austin for a concert but that's about it.
 
Both are excellent suggestions. :thumbsup:

Too bad I have to somehow justify each grade by making marks and notations on the paper. Oh well.
 
And they say educators never make enough. :roll:

In Texas we are having the battle royale over increasing the hell out of taxes to pay for the stinking schools which is a giant black hole of insatiable spending.

Well, there is a jarring difference in the quality of my grading. Oh well, I don't care anymore. I still have a final to study for. Bah, this is not worth it.

TAs like you make me wonder why I am up at 4:50 AM writing an English essay when I have a fscking emag test the day after it. And emag >>> British Lit

Well, if the quality of your essay is anything like the quality of some of these papers... you'd understand why I don't care. 😀

Seriously, use spell checker. It's not that hard. And then when they dick around with the margins and font size to make the papers longer... it's not like it tricks me or anything. Gah!

edit: Don't get me wrong, the good papers get my full attention. I have no mercy for the papers that are so bad there isn't a word that can adequately convey the sheer magnitude of how bad they are. Especially the one with the 2 inch margins. I have no idea what that student was thinking.
 
Do people still RUN spell checker? Do they not see the red squigglies that are on every major word processor under every misspelled word?
