Anyone do real estate here?

Just curious - does anyone here do real estate - residential or commercial? I was thinking of going back and getting my RE license - it's only 5 months to take all the required classroom hours (in TX) before you qualify to take the test.

Just need an inbetween before I figure out what exact path I wanted to take with my MBA. (Currently doing the required courses now) Any opinions on RE, etc.

I thought a RE license is very easy to get. All you need to do is pass the test.

The real test is does an agent follow up and get docs in when needed. Darn near impossible.

Well yea the RE license is easy to get but just seeing if anyone does it "for real" per se.

You might want to look up the avg income before you do it, I think it's around 18k a year.

i know people who do it just to research on what kind of home they one day want to home.. you know on the side, so that a few years down the road they are set... and if they make a sale, well hey theres some side money for ya

There's always a need for them, but right now it's not the hot ticket it was from say '99-'05.
