You started crossfit and now want to start paleo. You could have knocked me over with a feather... No way cross fit is like a cult
I forgot to mention that a crockpot really helps so you might want to look into one if you don't have one. You basically put your meat, veggies and fat into it, turn it on the low setting and leave it for 8 hours. When it's done you have a whole lot of tasty food. Then just google crockpot paleo.

How did i know we would have a Zivic sighting here, welcome friend.
how does it not surprise me that you are "living alone", found comfort in the crossfit cult and now want to start eating paleo?
Aww how cute look at the personal attacks coming, i assume it makes you feel big and strong, oh wait you already are.
I am big and strong. If you doubt that, I encourage you to meet up with me to lift if you are ever in the twin cities. And those aren't personal attacks. Just find it amusing that when I read things about crossfit they perfectly fit the stereotypes.
if crossfit is working for you, great, keep at it.
That's the big difference in mindset between us, i don't workout or lift to just lift more. I am in it to play sports better, improve my daily life, and increase endurance.
And yes since i started mid December i have seen a huge advancement from where i started.
Tough Mudder is in June here and i am excited for it.
I play hockey (and baseball), or at least did, not as much any more, but I skate weekly in the winter. Just played in an over 30 tourney in WI last weekend. I used to lift more sport specific, but as I age, it's becoming more about building strength and muscle. I am not signing an NHL contract, so I don't do the sport specific lifts like I used to - dot drills, box jumps, cleans, etc.
I can do 40+ minute cardio sessions. I am able to run a 5k on a mill. have been sticking to more HIIT cardio though. I am competitive at my sport of choice. All at a bulky 230 lbs. What more do I need to do for my daily life? My biggest challenge is finding clothes that fit properly, but with my lifestyle, sweats and T's can be worn pretty much year round.
my wife has a friend that is into the tough mudders, and a couple of my neighbors are doing one this year. it does nothing for me, but hey different strokes. There are plenty of people that see me at the gym and question why I need, or would even want to be as big as I am, so my goals are not what everyone else wants either.
Well it sounds are are pretty well rounded. My friend that is huge, does not do anything else besides power lift. He says all the time he wants more of the NFL player look, which him being 6'4" he could have it with some more cardio type training. I think if he did crossfit or similar for 6 months he would be in crazy shape with the size he already has, but like i said in another thread right now he has no mobility or endurance right now.
I enter Paleo Diet and I see nothing about BMI on even the first page. Are you using suggested links and have searched BMI in the past?
It's not a major carb cutting diet though. It's about increasing protein a bit over average, sticking to non-highly glycemic carbs and utilizing 'good fats'. There is a lot of misinformation on it out their especially a lot on confusing Atkin's type diets with Paleo.
I also question a diet that still references BMI on the first site the comes up on a google :
http://thepaleodiet.com/body-mass-index/
my BMI is 35.....
Well if you searched google for that link, it's going to come up first.
If you type Paleo Diet into google that hit doesn't come up.
capeche?
