Anyone do body work in here?

Like painting/fixing smashed up cars and stuff? I wondered if it was possible to put clearcoat over decals so they wont peel off when you wash the car etc. I've been told it might flake off and stuff, but want to be as close to sure either way.....

I don't know about cars but they do it on motorcycles all the time.

I work in a small body shop but my boss is a real moron when it comes to body work and likes to cut corners, and I don't really trust what he says, so I come to the helpful place of ATOT

I realize that my response is ridiculous, but why don't you contact the manufacturer of the clear coat product and ask them if you can do this?
