Just kinda curious. I have a couple shortwaves and listen sometime..

what's the farthest you've picked up? what do you use for an antenna?

tried it a few times when i was younger. but it was picking up english channels which i didn't understand at the time...

I haven't used my shortwave reciever for at least 10 years. I don't know if I'd get very good signals with all the computer equipment on.

I helped my father put up a new antenna this weekend, and wired the rotator with him.

HIs call sign is KB4VC.

I rememner the bleeps and bloops of "CQ CQ CQ" alll night long. :D

thats HAM (amature) radio. My call sign is KB0OGT

with shortwave all you have is a receiver, but since he is a HAM his receiver picks up the shortband freqs.
