Anyone Do any Overclocking with a AMD 64 Winchester AND 4 512mb sticks of RAM

just curious if anyone has done any overclocks with this setup. Because I have 4 512mb sticks of ram and a winchester CPU my ram runs at DDR333.

So How did you guys do your overclock. I just want to get my 3200+ to run at 2.2Ghz.

Could I just increase the CPU frequency to 220 in the BIOS?? Because this would bring the ram up to 367.

Suggestions?

Well it won't hurt to try it. Be sure to change the LDT/HTT multiplier to 4x prior to increasing the FSB.

put 4 sticks in my kid's ultra-d... 2 kingmax, 2 valuram... dropped the mem to 150, set the mult to 9, and pushed the htt up to 278 for 2.5ghz for a mem speed of around 208... on a 3000 winnie... at 1.6v wit ha ninja ontop...

it won't do 1t, tho... but it still feels faster than it did at 2.3ghz with 1gb at 1t...

why change the multiplier to 4x ???

wouldnt that mean the FSB would have to be 550 ???

550 x 4 = 2200 MHz or 2.2 Ghz

now could i leave the RAM timings on AUTO and therefore stock, or should these be changed?

Well when you increase the FSB it's gonna increase the speed the ram is running at as well, and the auto timings will most likely be for DDR333 since that is what the default will be with 4 sticks, so you might need to manualy adjust the timings.
