I was looking online and can't find any disassembly instructions for a Sony DSC-T9, my LCD is cracked and I got a replacement screen but would feel a little better not going in blind on the disassembly of it.

Anyone know how to do this or have any resources that I maybe missed?

EDIT:

Whew!

Just got the replacement LCD in today and without ever finding any disassembly instructions I just decided to go for it.

Wasn't sure if I was going to get it working since the back light for the LCD didn't come with the replacement LCD but I was able to salvage the old one and without having a soldering iron handy I used some tape to make the connection, which I normally wouldn't do but since it's all crammed in there it's not going anywhere.

Works perfect though!

What a relief!

Call up Sony and ask if you can order or have them email you a parts and/or repair manual. Or check on ebay.

I don't think the LCD replacement should be that risky FYI. Most cameras locate the rear user interface/LCD in a seperate section of the camera, away from stuff like the zoom gears and the sensor. The real guts of the camera are usually seperated by the main PCB/motherboard.

Man, you got more balls than I would. I'd need a microscope to work on that puppy!

Well it's a non-warranty item so I can either do it myself or pay about as much as a new once cost now days for Sony to repair it, figured I'd give it a shot.

I've worked on plenty of small things before, just would like to have a manual for this if at all possible though.
