Anyone dealt with Pioneer's return services before?

Is it pretty simple? I've got a Premier cd player that's technically under warranty since it was manufactured Dec. of 2007, but I'm not the original owner and I don't have the original receipt. Needless to say, the player won't read CDs, so I was wondering if I had a chance of getting a replacement from Pioneer?

Truthfully, no. If you lie and make up a sob story, they will probably do it.

I've dealt with them one time for a cd player that was getting alternator noise that turned out unsolvable in the end. They did a replacement but I had the receipt and only purchased it 2 weeks before. It did take a few weeks to get it back but it worked fine after that.

Yeah, returned a pallet of seed to them once, they were good about it.
