Anyone dealt with imposterz.com?

Yes, I'm a student that doesn't have a lot of money, but I'm looking into glasses both for driving and lifeguarding (I work part-time aside from being a student). I found out http://www.imposterz.com has nice replica Oakleys that I can afford, but I'm not sure if I can trust them or not. It's not like dealing at these forums, but then again, trolls are about these days. What I'm kinda miffed about is that they don't take CC, just MOs now and you have to mail them to a PO Box. I really want a pair of Oakleys but at the same time, I'd like not to get ripped off. Anyone have another site I can find them or any opinion on what I should do?

If you want Oakleys, get Oakleys. If you want something that "looks like" Oakleys, go to the local dollar store and pick up a pair of knock-offs. If you want the best for your eyes, spend a bit extra cash, but go with a lesser name. Get quality without the premium that comes from buying a name.

As for buying from these guys... why? You're not sure you can trust 'em? Why risk your cash?

What glasses look like isn't as important as how they are for your eyes. Cheap glass/plastic lenses often have subtle variations that causes the eyes to constantly spend time focusing and refocusing, compensating for the variations.

I would get the knockoffs..but can't find them.

Not only that, the cheap glasses will not protect your eyes from UV rays like the real glasses will. In fact, the cheap glasses are worse on your eyes than not wearing any sunglasses at all. They cause some shading for your eyes, which makes your pupils dialate a bit, letting even more UV in than without glasses.

You only have two eyes, take care of them.

Exactly what I was going to say.
In fact, many designer glasses have the same problem -- shoddy lenses.
If you're going to spend most of your days out in the sun, get something made for it, such as Maui Jim, Smith, Oakley, Nike...you can get a good pair of Anarchy or Killer Loop or Dragon glasses for about $50. I'd spend the extra bucks instead of risking going blind.
