Anyone cooling an old P133 w/ just a heat sink?

I have a Pentium 133 box I'm using for a router/firewall but the cpu fan is getting loud. Is there a cheap heat sink I can use instead or a place where I can get a cheap but quiet fan replacement?

The wires feeding the cpu fan currently is warming up from the resistance of a fan going bad.

I have ran 133's before without a fan, however they do get quite warm but never had one lock up or have any heat related issues.

It should run fine. I have an Old P120 that I'm cooling with just a passive sink. They dont output much heat, and they dont get too flaky at high temperatures either.

I had an old compaq p166 that just had a large heatsink. In fat I have the heatsink in front of me now. It ran fine for 4 years 24/7.

How did you remove the old fan that came with the P133; it seems to be glued on.

I found a website Nexfan that offers a CoolMaster for cheap.
I figure if it's too loud I can just pull the fan plug.

Application: Socket 7 up to 550MHZ
Overall Dimensions 52x52x37mm
Fan Size 50x50x10 mm
Rated Voltage (V) 12 volt
3pin Power connector
Noise Level(dBA) 26.5 dBA
Air Volume (CFM) 9.50 CFM
Rated Speed(RPM) 4000 RPM
Bearing System BALL Bearing
Heat Sink Aluminum 6030
Fan Safety UL/CE/TUV

i was thinking about artic epoxying one to mine, it kind of weird, doesn't seem like micron used thermal paste under their heat sinks, anyways i'mna just epoxy mine (its a retail athalonxp aluminum heatsink)

Mwhaha, I have a P233 with a HS only. No fan... but then again... this heatsink is larger than the retail HSF I have for my P4 :)
