I had some ballcards awhile ago and gave them to someone here at atot who collected cards with his son.

It's that time again...

I have a few here that I wanted to send out to someone who can enjoy them.
There's a Topps Chipper Jones Rookie, an 89 Topps Randy Johnson, another Johnson, a couple Sheffields, Palmeiros, a Bonds, Smoltz, and a nice Frank Thomas among a few others.
If any of you guys collect cards with your kid, give me a holler and I'll send them off to you.

One of my friends back in Junior High had a Upper Deck 89 Junior Griffey Rookie card. Sooo jealous. I only had crappy cards. Don't collect them anymore, it's all in shoe boxes in the closet.

I had a folding flip out book FULL of UD Jr. rookies at a time.
I sold every one of them and made lots of money.
I collected cards with an old girlfriend's kid, we kept Jr., Bonds, Deion, and Steve Avery.
We bought and sold at fairs and card shows.
I had literally hundreds of Bonds rookies.
I left all that stuff with the kid. :)

I still have a Griffey candy bar.

Anyone know of a free price guide for football cards? I have notebooks full of them from the NFL Proset's first and second years in printing.

MY Dad had three Babe Ruth cards when he was a kid (he got them from this old woman) and he traded them for one really crappy card, (they still weren't in that great of condition) but I still make fun of him to this day about the value of those cards.

I always had crappy cards. Hell, the best one I think I had was Kirby Puckett's rookie card.

I gotta check out my cards at home. It's been 15 years since I've gotten anything; I think I have an UD Griffey Jr. card somewhere.

If I remember correctly, Pro Set cards are basically worthless. They were seriously overprinted.

Other than searching on Ebay I don't think so. Proset cards were so over produced when they came out, that they aren't worth a lot. But they are worth some. Just cruise to the local card shop or book store and pick up a Beckett magazine for football. Can't be more than $5.

I have that whole 1989 Upper Deck set (including the high numbers) still in the factory shrink wrap at home. At one point, it was selling for close to $400. I hung onto it in the hopes that it would get more valuable as time went on, but last I checked, it was somewhere around $180.

Must be tied directly to Junior's performance. ;)
There's a few other nice cards in that set, IIRC.
