Anyone changed their name?

Is it hard to get used to? How long does it take you to get used to being called something different?

long, long time ago in 4th grade. Dropped my first name and took my middle name. I was happy to do it since I was being teased because of my first name.

I've considered it but being renamed NEVER PAY RETAIL would suck.

Someone calls and asks, "May I please speak with Mr. NEVER PAY RETAIL?

Thanks for the uh...tip ;)

I'm not legally changing my name.

I'm just thinking about starting to use my middle name instead of my first name because I like it a lot better. I'm just wondering how hard it will be to adjust to having people call me something else...

Hahah

Nah my first name is Jonathan. Which I actually don't mind.
It just invariably gets shortened to Jon. Which is really boring...and not my name.

Now I'm not one of those people that gets really upset when someone calls me Jon or something. But I just really prefer Jonathan, and there are 10 billion Jons in the world...Jon just doesn't feel like me...

My Dad and my Grandma call me Jonathan (I don't think my dad has every shortened it), and I much prefer that to the Jon I get from almost everyone else.

My middle name however, is nice and short, and I don't personally know anyone with that name. So it's a little more unique, and it's pretty hard to shorten it with it being only 3 letters already.

It wasn't really a legal name changing per se, but when I was younger....
My dad called me a$$hole,
My mom called me ba$tard
My teachers called me sonofabiatch,
and in my teen years, my boss called me di(khead.

I now go by by given name....JON
thankyouverymuch

oh, sorry thought I mentioned it already. My middle name is Eli (from Eli Wallach and as funny as it may seem that's actually where it comes from ;) my dad is a little odd okay? ;)).

I'm almost 22, starting my last year of University next week.

I don't think I've ever met an Eli personally, so I feel it's a little more unique than "Jon", and besides which I like it more ;)
