their new article for midrange builders, they used a rosewill 600watt psu to a E6600 x1950xt build, did rosewill purchase anandtech or something

MrWicked1968 -- from jonnyGURU`s site....
this time from Jarred Walton at Anandtech.

Anandtech's midrange buyer's guide

I'll save you the effort of finding reference to jonny in the article, click on the comments. One of the recommended psu's is the Rosewill SLI 600w, which naturally brought howls of protest.

Jarred referenced jonny's (ok, madmat's) review of the Rosewill RP500-2 in defense of his choice of the Rosewill 600. Is Solytech a "bad" OEM like YoungYear, Deer, or Allied? or are they a decent midrange OEM (I've used a Solytech-built TT 420w for a couple of years now with no problems)?

This Rosewill reviewed well. The voltage was stable and nearly ripple free...under load.

BUT, it is filled with Fuhjyyu capacitors, just like the Antec Smart / TruePower lines.
So good luck to long trouble free service life. :p

Fuhjyyu caps!? OMG! One of my friend's TruePower failed after 4 months of use (and his computer isn't even that power hungry compared to mine) and my SmartPower's getting an RMA. So yeah....be careful of them Fuhjyyu caps.

good feedback guys, but WHY ANANDTECH? are there not enough better quality psu's on the market? after all, it IS one of the most important parts in a system
