Anyone catch the X Prize special on Discovery?

I still can't get over how amazing it is what they've done. Just thinking how long it takes our space administration to prepare for a flight, and the the time it takes them to recover, really puts into perspective what an accomplishment these guys have made. Anyone else see the special that was just on Discovery?

Yes, it was great. This special was only 1 hour, but my tivo also recorded something with the same title that was 2 hours long - so they may have different versions. Well worth looking for.

it was pretty good. i hated how they tried to add drama to it and give you cliffhangers right before the commercials. i mean, we all know they won, just tell us about the flight, dammit!

NASA sends craft into orbital flights carrying payloads to deliver to the space station, make repairs on sensitive equipment in orbit and, in case you have forgotten, they have put several men on the Moon.

These people had all the knowledge and experience of decades of government sponsored space flight to draw from and their goal was far less difficult.

An admirable accomplishment, but don't slight NASA.

And cared less about the public going to space.

he isn't trolling. I don't believe one of NASA's objectives is to allow the public into space anytime soon.
