Anyone care to share their experience with buying from www.monarchcomputer.com

I normally buy from Newegg or ZZF, but I have read on these forums people using Monarch. I had never heard of them before reading about them here, so i was wondering if they are good to work with.

So if you have a moment, and have dealt with them, please let me know if they are good or bad. Feel free to explain your reason. 🙂

Thanks,

I've bought from them before, and I have an A64 with motherboard on the way from them. When it gets here I'll let you know what condition it's in. 😉

I recently bought both a BFG 6800GT OC and a Connect3d X850XT PE and was pleased with them. I went with the free shipping which was supposed to be 5-7 day normal FedEx ground, and they upped it to FedEx 2nd day.

Both cards came with everything, packaged well (although the X850 wasn't in a box within the box it shipped in which was kinda strange, but it worked probably better than a box anyways).

Overall they get thumbs up.

I would still rather deal with ZipZoomFly or Newegg (provided the price is close enough) as they're a smoother overall experience for me, but Monarch deserves the praise they get.

I picked up a MSI K8N NEO2 & 3200+ from them pre-tested. It was a very nice package, all the documentation was there along with the free HL2 and Napster and Far Cry games. I also extended the warrenty out to 2 years and they sent along a pre-addressed return lable for Fed Ex.

I have called their help desk and have received nothing but steller service. I know there is another thread out there with some individuals who have had bad luck, but I can say nothing of the kind. I highly recommend them and will continue to due business with them over Newegg and the rest of the lot. I like a human voice on the phone when I call.

I bought my motherboard and power supply unit from them because they had the cheapest prices on the ones I was looking for at the time. I ordered them seperately a few days apart and both shipped promptly and arrived after only 3 or 4 days each with free shipping. Product was correct and in fine condition and well packed. No problems or complaints for me. . .but this guy:

might say different. If you order a CPU / motherboard combo, make sure you get the right CPU.

I ordered a motherboard and cpu from Monarch and had very good experience. Fast shipping, well packaged. Even a followup email from customer support to ask if everything had arrived and in good shape.

I have place half a dozen orders from them over the last few months, including mobos, cpus, hdds, vid cards, etc. I only had one problem with them: a vid card they said they had in stock when I ordered and then they kept pushing back availability. I canceled that one and ordered from Newegg. Other and that, they been good.

The only other thing I don't like (I can live with it for their prices) is they don't do sig wavers for FedEx shipping. You must sign for it in person. I would recommend shipping to your workplace, if you can.

Also, if you want to check companies reps, http://www.resellerratings.com. Good resource.

Added bonus, Monarch only does sales tax if you're in GA.

I have ordered all kinds of stuff from them. Usually the best prices and most of the time they upgrade the shipping, even if you selected ground. I stay away from newegg and zip because both those places nail me with tax.

I ordered my K8N Neo2 mobo and my A64 3200+ CPU from them, and they both work great (save for the mysterious videocard auto OC thing I'm experiencing...). I ordered it as a "combo", which is when you order the mobo and CPU together, actually getting a small discount (duh! 😛). They even tested the configuration to make sure it worked correctly, and installed the heatsink, with thermal compound. All I had to do was put it into my case, add memory, video card, sound card, and connect all of the cables to the hard drives\optical drives, and I was good to go!
