Bah! That's a couple of weeks after my trip to the US in which I'm planning to buy the CPU, RAM and GPU...and I have the Q6600 in my sights.

Alas! Seems I'll have no choice but the 105w one.

I'm running quad-Prime95 with a Q6600 at stock speed right now, FANLESS.

Does that mean your using water? Or do you have just a heat sink on the CPU without a fan? And I'm not sure that is such a good idea if so.

damn...and i just ordered an x3220. nothing is going right with this new setup. clueless ebayer auctions a quadro 3500 and sends me a 7900gs. ZZF mis-lables some ram, and I order it thinking it's a different part.

I should have just bought an octo mac pro.

I can lower the stock voltage on my chip as well. Undervolting is amazing .
