I was torn between the PC version and the PS2 version, I decided to wait for the PS2 version because I didn't want to control Sam's pace on my PC via the scroll wheel. Anyway, who picked it up for their PS2 and how do you like it? Thanks in advance

I've played it on every system except the Gamecube...

The PC version is by far the best if you have the system to run it. Altering Sams speed with the scroll wheel becomes second nature after the training. Beyond that, the atmosphere of the game is ruined by the PS2 since it simply cannot produce the effects the PC or Xbox version can.

Rent, you really thing the scroll wheel was easy to get used to? I only ask because MGS was so easy to play w/ the PS2 controller and thought playing SC on the PS2 would be as easy to control too 😕

i beat the game about a week ago on the PC. i thought using the scroll wheel for his speed was an innovative way to use the controls. i think it would be more of a pain if you had to use the PS2 controllers. worrying about the sensitivity of the controllers would be harder than the scroll wheel.

Aren't the PS2 levels shorter?

Actually vs. the XBox version, there are more levels IIRC 🙂

Theres only one more level - the nuclear reactor one. But from what I read they actually shortened the levels from the XBox version. If you've never played the other 2 you probably have no clue what I'm saying...

I would if I had a choice b/t the two

Since you don't have a "rig" in your sig, do you think my rig will run the game w/o any issues Angrymarshmello? Thanks
