I want you straight guys to start asking honest girls if they actually like the way cologne smells.
I didn't really wear cologne until my ex advised & insisted it. She worked at type of store for a while, & brought home samplers for me every now & then. Then would remind, & scold me when I didn't throw on some cologne before going out.
Escada: Sunset Heat for Men was our favorite, but it didn't have much scent longevity. http://www.basenotes.net/ID26126826.html
That was really only fruity-ish one she brought home.

I used to wear cologne when I was a teen. But today's soaps have so much perfume in them I can't smell anything over that anyway.

Is it too much to ask for some unscented liquid soap?

You want Dove moisturizing soap for that. There's probably others too. Harder to find though is unscented deodorant.

Sex usually followed going out.

Although lots of evenings I rather would have just stayed in, kicked back & watched movie together.

I used to then someone gave me a bottle of something that cost like 30 a bottle and I got more compliments and " sniffs" than any other cologne. I've been wearing it for over 20 years :p

Not really, I have gotten good advise and feedback how being one of the shiney people really pisses those without much off.

Can't wait for the "YOU DON'T KNOW ME, I COULD BUY ALL THAT CREED COLONGES...I CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!"

Meanwhile they are on a pay as you go phone plan and live in their childhood bedroom still.

Another thing about good cologne, is that at some workplaces, you can carry a small bottle with you at all times, and strong mint candy. Then you can sneak around, smoke weed, and with a fresh burst cologne on and mint candy in your mouth, no one knows what you're doing.

Don't believe me? Try it! It worked for me for 21 years.

Since no one here posted the best smelling mens cologne EVER, I certainly won't help any of you out in that regard. If any of you had mentioned it, we could have a hunt of sorts, with exciting clues and stuff to track it down in the thread, but sadly, none of you did.

This cologne can pretty much only now be bought online, from the manufacturer, that I know of. I stumbled upon it by accident one day eons ago at a Neiman Marcus searching for something different, and then a few years later thought that for years they stopped making it, since Neiman's claimed they couldn't even special order it for me anymore. But the manufacturer put their website up some years ago, so it's now available online at least. And it's imported, that much I'll tell you.

And if you ever wore it for your wife or boyfriend, they would never let you wear anything else. I swear it's some magical elixir of the GODs or something, the way you can get laid wearing it.

And since none of you mentioned it, you shall remain the unwashed hordes your wives, girlfriends or boyfriends adore so much.

How do you see that?

Cat

Because they all said "Look at the stoner, he has to work stoned! LOL!" behind your back. And yea, you weren't fooling anyone who knew what it smelled like. They were obviously simply tolerating you and must have felt sorry for you. You were only fooling yourself, but drugs tend to do that, you know?

no, now shoo.
Oh, funny, because all I read was, 'Hey y'all ima gonna buy me some $300 perfume, baller, YO!'. You wern't asking for advice, you already knew what you wanted, then you start claiming you're 'shiny people' and how it pisses off poor folk. Wow. D:

Don't let Warren Buffett hear about how you're throwing down the big bucks on Eau de Toilet...

ok update...

Farhenheit is out...I am not sure if it's the new formulation or maybe my makeup has changed. I don't find it as nice as I remember and my wife thinks it's not the same either. That's sitting in my dressing area now minus about 3 sprays.

The winner was actually Swiss Army Classic. It was a free sample with the Dior, my wife loved it and I have gotten complements on it. I like it as well.

The Creed stuff I may still buy. I want my wife to smell it first. It's definitely a bit more than an 'everyday' fragrance for me I think. It's a bit strong up front but did die down after a couple hours. I think it would do really well if I was wearing a suit jacket everyday. The Irish Tweed would complement that well I believe. Maybe even if I was a t-shirt and dress shirt kind of guy, but I think it's a bit much under just a lightweight shirt.

The Swiss Army Classic I couldn't find locally (which is a plus in my book) and was pretty damn cheap online (I think $35 or so I paid about 1/3 the Dior price and 1/10 the Creed :)).
