Anyone buy an Athlon XP 1600 from Newegg?

Has anyone out there bought and received an Athlon XP 1600 from Newegg? If so, did it come factory unlocked? I've heard that of the new XP's, only the 1600's are coming unlocked, and I'm not sure if it's all or just some. Please post your results. Thank you.

Hopefully it's true the 1600's are unlocked. I'll find out as soon as fedex delivers my 1600+ from Newegg. I'll post here as soon as I get it.

Please report any results regarding unlocking for any Athlon XP model. If not from Newegg, please identify the retailer. Maybe we can use this forum to increase our chances to get an unlocked processor.

You can't overclock XP's with the pencil trick anymore. The bridges are underneath the fiberglass package.

Anyway...I just got my 1600+ from Newegg. It is locked It is stable at 1.68ghz though with FSB overclocking. I think it could do more it's just my other components can't.
