anyone buy a DLS subwoofer from PartsExpress.com?

hey,

has anyone bought the DLS (Dayton Loudspeaker) Subwoofer from PartsExpress.com? i remember someone mentioning it in a thread about something else that's why i couldn't find it in a search. i want to get opinions on this sub before i buy it and epinions.com was no help. so if anyone has used this sub before please reply. thanks in advance!

Resident audio guru Viperoni was probably the one who recommended it - PM him as he can tell you anything you've ever wanted to know about that subwoofer

Viperoni uses a 15" DVC driver with a DIY enclosure in his system. not that 10" thing...

well i hate to tell you the bad news, but ive had that sub (awesome while it worked....) for about 5 months and it only worked for a week. the amp blew fuses the second you put them in. I called and the guy (dls guy) told me the amp unscrews from the back(so i could send it and get it replaced) so i tried that and 30 screws later the amp is still stuck to the enclosure. Havent done anything about it but im pissed because the sub i got was crap. do yourself a favor and get the sony wm40 or whatever its called, its supposed to be awesome. i hope someone chimes in with a good experience but mine was bad.
