anyone built a subwoofer?

i want to build my own sub, need an amp, driver, and some plans, or maybe a good piece of software to make plans... anyone done this before or have a good DIY forum?

I've built 2. First one was too big to lug home from college so built a smaller one at home.

its 13.5 square by 20" tall excluding 2" legs. Downward firing Shiva.
