anyone bought a vehicle from eBay?

I have been tossing around the idea of buying a car in a part of the country far from me so I could fly out there and drive the car home (taking my time to see sights) and hopefully resell it.

Yea, I did a few months ago.
I would never buy a car cold though. I was fortunate that this one was only a few miles from my brothers place, so he checked it out for me. (car was in PA, I'm in CO)

Seems like alot of trouble for a road trip. Your not likely to make much of a profit on the deal till you figure in taxes, airline ticket, gas, hotel, etc. Plus the usual risk of buying a used car.

It would be cheaper to rent a car for a week or two.

Yes, I have, but be very careful, i got screwed royaly when the title was farked up on the car. Spent 3 months and an extra $100 getting the situation rectified. And then it died on me
I would probably do it again, just be a whooooooole lot more careful.
