I've seen a couple of episodes. I can't say I relate to it at all because I know high school football is a bigger deal in texas than it is in Illinois. I will say this about the show, it is more like Any Given Sunday than Varsity Blues when it comes to describing the show. Heavy on football drama.

the tv show is an offshoot of the movie by the name starring Billy Bob Thornton (released in 2004). i kinda like it...more for my entertainment than anything else 'cause i really couldn't see myself living in a town/city where pretty much everything revolved around high school football.

The people in Midland/Odessa have to have something to look forward to in the sh!thole that is Midland/Odessa/West Texas.

I live in a decent area...why is the setting of the show really trashy?

They are filming here tonight. The film crew is actually a real pain in the ass. They always move my trash can and one day I came home and there was a huge sign on my yard that said "vote for [some cheerleader]". I almost went outside and sledgehammered it to pieces.

Yeah I watch it, it's pretty interesting and that brunette cheerleader is definitely hot. And i simply can not imagine living in a town where high school football is the best thing someone has to look forward to and remembers.
