Here is my observation. To begin with, the building is an unpleasant part of downtown. You are almost certain to pass by some homeless individuals driving to the store. Once you arrive, you will find a 60-year old+ building that probably barely pass city codes for doing business. Of course, what matters most is the merchandise and its price. Well, all Crazy Gideon's sells is OLD overpriced refurbished goods. For instance, a new VCR 4 years ago might have retailed for $150. Apparently, Crazy Gideon buys old returned, bankrupt, or manufacturer reconditioned items. He will then discount the price to, for example, $90. Well, you could go to Best Buy or Circuit City and buy a NEW vcr for the same price or less! Want to buy a socket7 computer for a few hundred dollars? Do you crave for merchandise in DAMAGED boxes? Perhaps it is just me, but I feel like this place is run by a bunch of con artists and caters to the ignorant.
