I'm looking at going to the Emerald Bay resort in Exuma Bahamas later in November this year. I'm not a big all inclusive person in general, however I've heard great things about the food and service at Sandals and I kind of want to just give it a try for a change.

I'm just curious if anyone has done Sandals before and what they thought about it. Did you have to tip at all? I'm actually looking at one of the ocean front rooms that includes a butler, so that would be weird. I also want to go with a group of people and I know it's adults only, but is it couples only or can you get like 2 girls or 2 guys to go together too?

Went to montego Bay for our honeymoon. Was pretty awesome. Only out of pocket was for excursions. Would recommend.

Been to St.Lucia and Antigua. Loved our stays. Great restaurants and properties. Drinks are totally watered down.. But that's how all inclusive resorts go. Pony up for the butler service. So worth it. You can be lounging at the pool and pick up the phone and order more drinks and a pizza. 20 minutes later they are dropped off at your seat. Awesome.

Have been to a Sandals in the past.

Seemed overpriced to me, but I'm not even a Millionaire.

The only Ocean Front spots they have have butler service, and I really want a room that is ocean front. They are like $1400 more than the cheapest room, but I'm all about location and being able to be as close as possible. The one I'm looking out is a walkout room right onto the beach.

That is cool about the butler bringing shit to you, I didn't even think about that. I was thinking it was more when you are in the room they do whatever you need. Did you end up tipping the butler? A quick google search shows that some people do and dip like $10-$20 a day, and you can either do it in cash daily or at the end of your stay when checking out.

I also chatted with them earlier today online and told them I was going for my birthday, and they told me to contact them back after I book my room and they will setup something special for my birthday. That's pretty awesome!
