I'm 20 years old, Sicilian, and my moms Italian class is goin on a trip to Italy in March, she called me up to see if I could work out 2 weeks around my classes... I said "Hell YES!"

We're gonna be on a pretty solid schedule since the trip is already being planned out by the class but Im sure we are going everywhere around the mainland. I really wanted to go down to Sicily and see Mililli, where my great grandparents came from, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to keep an eye out for, other than the most gorgeous women in the world?

"Parle poco Italiano..."-hopefully the women will dig it

Been to Florence, Rome, Milan.

Rome - amazing sites. If you like history and/or architecture at all, you'll love it. The Vatican was amazing and I'm a jewboy.

Florence - more touristy. Lots of Americans/english speakers. Amazing museums, though.

Milan - sucks.

Lookout for pickpockets. Seriously. I was fine, but a friend I was travelling with got his wallet taken before I got there. Be aware.

Oh, and count the number of SUVs you see.
Right. Because only Americans need to drive 5000 pound trucks to buy groceries. :)

Rome is amazing. You need to spend a lot of time there to see everything though. There isnt much in Pisa except for the tower. Florence was also nice. What I did was bring a bag along (the kind you throw over 1 shoulder and looks like a newpaper delivery boys bag) and I had my wallet LOCKED in the zipper part. I have heard pickpockets are rampant even in Museums. Be the most careful when you are taking pictures or otherwise distracted cause thats when they strike.

If you want to make some extra cash, take as amany cartons of cigerettes over there as possible!! It's either one or two cartons per person. I forget. Don't know hte details, but my co-worker is from italy, and whenver he goes back, he takes as many cartons as possible.

LOL, what can you flip em for twice as much or something?

I know we are going to go all over the mainland, I'm not sure of the exact stops yet but I know Rome, Venice, and Florence are gonna be the major stops.

Back to the main underlying question though, how are the women? ;)

sort of
i was driving through switzerland and noticed on the map that i was close to the italian border, so i got off the highway/freeway and took a side road up the side of a mountain and crossed the border

i drove about 2 km's in to italy, stopped, got out and took a couple of pictures of the italian side of the mountain, then got back in and turned around and went back into switzerland

In Florence, there is a restararaunt called Momma's or has Momma's in the name or something. OMFG. $17 gets you a NINE course meal. Plates full of pasta and other great stuff. I swear "momma" would bring out a plate, then run back in the kitchen and get the next course ready before you were even done with the first. Man did I eat that day. When I went to europe in june, I gained 8 pounds over my two week trip (even with all the walking) I'm sure 5 of those were from eating so much food in italy. Italians know how to eat.

LOL, yeah we do know how to cook a meal!

My friend whos in the Army is stationed in Germany, says Levi jeans sell over there for multiple times the price they sell here so he's goin to JC Pennys tomorrow and buying hundreds of them to bring back with him! Would it be illegal for me to go to Italy with a suitcase full of cigarettes?
