If you are a normal person you will love it there.
Just tell them you're Canadian.

I'm kidding....

I went there in 1995. I was only 13 but I really liked it. I think that had a lot to do with the fact that my parents were on another continent for 3 whole weeks.

Lots to do and see.
Stayed in Munich...but went everywhere.

EDIT: I was there during the summer. Checked out the Oktoberfest grounds, it HUGE. I would love to be there for that party.

my parents dragged me over there 2 years ago... its awfully nice... but then all we went to were those palaces meant for tourists and hitler's hideout in some mountain or something like that... eerily cold and foggy up there.

love the food... lots of meat... :D

...plus people actually know what the hell the fast lane is for.

I lived in Berlin for a few years and have been back on vacation almost every summer since 1996.

I now work for the German government and will be going there on business in July.

If you have any specific questions, just ask here or PM me.

Been to Berlin a couple times, it's okay...nothing special. The subway system is cool, and there are a couple cool places to see. The people are not too friendly.

Ha! Did you bother learning a few sentences of German instead of assuming everyone spoke English?

Makes a big difference.

Been to Berlin and Munich last summer. Berlin was alright, but Munich was awesome. I've been to 8 European countries and Germany was my favorite. Very clean, the people are nice and many speak english, the beer is good, trains are always on time, food is good, and the list goes on and on. PM me if you have any specific questions. I can recommend some excellent things to do in both of those cities if you're interested.
