Not sure how they can get in without a kid... they mark your group with that ink now, and they wouldn't let people without kids in.

You only get marked if you have a kid. If you come alone, they just let you in.

Not at the location near me.
I was going to a B-day party for a niece, and I was about 45 mins late.
I walk up, and try to go in, and they flat out said I can't enter without a minor.
I was like, I am with that group over there...
After flagging them down, I finally was granted access, and they branded me.

If this is a different policy from other locations, I have no idea.

the trend around here seems to be bounce house warehouse places. i did go to a chunky cheese recently for a kids party and it was a little depressing. Despite selling beer I found the place to be the sub-par, ghetto, broken down half the shit game systems. I did however find some solace in a few games a mini-hoops and skeet ball. Definitely not the same place as 30 years ago. got like 10,000 tickets and bought a 10 cent plastic ring for my kid.

I had a work friend who went to a nephew or something's party at some new place... Jungle something?

Long story short, it didn't sound exciting to me. I went to Chucky Cheese's twice as a kid. Loved that place.

I've only been there 2-3 times. Never as a kid.

I think the first time was when I took my nephew. Pizza was actually pretty good. Tagged along with a friend on his kid's birthday another time. Same restaurant. Pizza was awful that time.

the food sucks, that alone is reason enough not to go there.

It has always sucked. When I was a kid in the late 70s and early 80s, they were called Showbiz Pizza around here and the pizza sucked even then. The reason we would go was because back then, they had a great arcade - not as good as the mall arcades but still pretty good.

Depending how old the kid is it might be more fun to have it at a bounce house type place. We had our son's party at Pump It Up and he always enjoys going there for parties.

It looked old and decaying when I was there. I can't imagine the arcade has improved much considering arcades have stagnated in recent years. Do they even made do arcade games any more?

My sister is trying to figure out where to have my nephew's birthday party. I suggested Chuck E Cheese but she said she heard a story about creepy pedos hanging out there staring at kids.

Anyone know if that kind of thing really happens?

I was at Chuck E Cheese once and some short, fat, balding, and creepy guy walked in. Said something about wanting to "try the pizza," but I don't know, it seemed VERY odd. Before I knew it, he was walking out, saying something about needing to pass some popcorn out at his job.

LOL

Happened to me when I was about 10. Except it was the mouse himself. So I found a six foot rat trap and took care of the bastard.

Depending on where you go, they are notorious for fights, shootings, and stabbings. Steer clear.

why go there when you can go to Showbiz pizza and give your kid nightmares for the rest of this life?

There's a reason Five Nights At Freddy's is so popular with the kids...

Showbiz Pizza! Sadly it turned into stupid ass Chuck E Chezzits. Did not care for the animatronics, never had nightmares though.

I've taken my Nieces & Nephew there a few times years ago. I remember you could not get in without a child and you had a color coded wrist band to match the kids. Someone was always at the door.
