Anyone been to Canada since 9/11?

Just wondering... My passport's expired and I don't know if I can still squeeze through Detroit to Toronto with a Chinese Birth Certificate - its not exactly proof I'm an American citizen...

I highly doubt it.

The border security has been tightened greatly. A friend of mine that works in Detroit and lives in Windsor even had his express pass taken away.

He has to wait in line (and be checked) like everyone else.

<< Seriously, who would win? Canada, Bruce Lee, or Coke? >>

Canada, of course.

Don't get lippy either, or i'll sic the JTF2 on you. 😀

(BTW, the JTF2 is the Canadian equivalent of the SAS or Special Forces. 😛)

WHY YOU...!?!?!?

*presses the red button marked "JTF2" underneath his desk*

Bwhahahahaha! Now you'll pay! 😀

PS. You have a pizza coming in about 25 minutes. Be sure to answer the door yourself.

Alright! Pizza! Thanks man! 😉

Well my gf goes to school in Buffalo, and I was at Casino Niagara couple of weeks ago, and you will need a passport. They had me pop the trunk on my way back.

I went up to Vancouver, via Seattle, at the beginning of October. Security was tight, they will search your car. Expect to wait at the border for an hour or two. I was in the car with two asians (I'm asian myself); one of them had a US passport, one of them had a naturalization certificate, and I had my US birth certificate... went through without a hassle.

If you have your naturalization papers, you should be fine.

Had one of our employees come to Chicago from Quebec for 2 weeks through Detroit, almost turned him around. Took him 2 hours to get through customs, he had a ..real nice customs agent 😉... but he did get through.I am headed there Friday, packing all my papers too!

I haven't been back. I'll be going through on the 21st. Since I'm a citizen this is of no concern. I really really really hope that the US INS doesn't hassel me coming back in. That will really suck a big dink if they do but hopefully they won't.

I had a crap time at the border once, a friend had a Canadian porno ad on him, they searched us(on the US side) and accused us of illicitation, it was a scare tactic or something cause they let us go.

I live in Vancouver, and went to Toronto in October/November. While there, I took the time to drive to Buffalo with my friend for a Bills game, and had no problems at all going down. Just flashed our tickets and said "Bills game." The way back up was even easier, considering my friend's license plate says CDNPRIDE 🙂 The border guy noticed, laughed, and waved us through.
