Anyone been having Internet Issues?

I heard that one of the major carriers has been doing some internet line upgrades?

I noticed ever since that I have to refresh my attemps every now and then. Its only certain sites that I must sometimes route through. Havent done any traceroutes yet but Im just wondering if anyone else has been noticing these kind of problems.

Started about 5 days ago.

Get the same on my other PC's as well and DNS is resolving properly. Just a lost packet deal which I would assume without digging too much is a network routing table problem somewhere on the web.

Some of it is maintenance, some of it is major cable cuts ("Cable Seeking Backhoe") all over the country.

When someone whacks a couple (DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192) trunks, up to tens-of-thousands of lines drop. When some of those lines are data, it may take a "while" to get the network to re-converge and update the routes.

It's the nature of the beast (consumer-wise ... the lowest priority).

FWIW
