It's being held at the Las Vegas convention center. I was curious how hard it is to get in since it's a convention that is not open to the public and only open to "industry professionals".

I don't think I will have a hard time proving that I am an industry professional with my business card stating I am the network administrator for my company, and the GF is an Engineer Data Link Specialist for Emerson Process Management. Do these jobs sound enough to qualify to get in? I am going to be in vegas during the time it's going on and would love to go in and see the gadget/keynotes and maybe even network a bit for possible jobs.

I've gone to both CES and E3 several times without having any sort of credentials.

1) Know someone in the industry (tech or press) who can get you in
2) Letterhead from any tech-related company will get you in
3) Pay the exporbitant non-discount price
4) Go to the info booth the day of the show and see if you can get a badge.

Make sure you hit the Adult Expo that runs the same week as the CES, I went back in 1995, it was one of the best weeks ever. :p

Do you think my business card will work?

Already signed up online to get my badge, but i have to go get a "holder" when i get in vegas and that is where they check your credentials. I was curious how strict about the whole "industry professional" thing they are...

As for the adult thing, where is it held and what is it called? And is there any entrance fee? :)
