Anyone actually reads those software agreements?

I have never ever read those software agreements you have to agree to before installing a software. Do those really have any weight? Someone could act smart and add such a line "By agreeing, you are obliged to buy more software from us". Well since you agreed, now you have to.

I do, I go through them. Sometimes you find really funny things in them.

Aren't there clauses in some java programs that disclaim how you shouldn't run it in airplanes or on spacecraft?

They aren't legally binding AFAIK.
They have never been tested in court.

It is unreasonable to expect anyone to read every single software agreement for everything they install. Totally ridiculous. Nobody has that much time on their hands, and I'd be willing to bet that none of them would hold up in court.
