Anyone able to run AOE 3 demo on a widescreen monitor?

Getting error messages when loading. Anyone able to run this game at 1680x1050?

I have a 2405FPW, and it won't run. However, it won't run at 800x600 either...

Seems people on gamefaqs using widescreen monitors are getting the error messages to when trying to load.

ATTENTION ALL! THIS IS THE PROBLEM! I just swapped the monitors out and it worked! Widescreen is a no-go.

Heck, Battlefield 2 is better than this...

Since it didnt work on my Dell 2005fpw, I hooked up my Sony 19" CRT and it works fine now.

full retail will probably support i mean you can only use xp to even run it people @ heavengames that have 2000 can't run it

Crap. Well, shouldn't you still be able to run it regardless of resolution with the Dell 1:1 feature? Something like 1360x1024 is pretty good and could be run in the 'aspect' mode for very minimal vertical stretching and only a little bit of black bars on the sides.
