anyone A+ certified?

A+ // never got mine, and I dont need it..i always thought it was a joke...only because most of the people I see who have it still dont know squat.

I am. I bought the ExamCram book...it's red and black...wait...lemme get me digicam.

/goes to get cam

/one minute later

This book here.

I already had more than a little knowledge. You build your own rigs, right? Do ALL the exercises in the book, including the practice tests that come on the CD and you'll pass.

They updated the test about a year ago. They no longer ask questions about 286's and the chipsets that run them. You'll do fine! Good luck. 🙂

^^ listen to the man. You'll do fine, the OS is harder than the hardware section, good entry level cert to get your foot in the door, got me my first IT job for $9.25/hour (although can't find ANY employment now, even the pet store hahahah)

I just took a couple practice tests online.. Finished both parts of the test in 9 mins total..

Piece of cake test. FYI I guess... 😛

It actually helped me a lot.

Broad? Quite the contrary. I only bought it because it was a lot thinner and to the point compared to the other $50 THICK A+ books.

I actually used it and it was quite good, thank you very much.

So did it actually add any value/knowledge to the OS section? That's where I heard it just really sucked on.

Most of the practice tests you guys are taking are from the older exams. CompTIA recently updated the objectives in the later part of last year 03. Trust me it isn't as easy as it once was. Yes it was really easy previous to these updates however they have made changes that make it much more worth it per se.

Yea the exams are harder now. Which is good. I still finished ridiculously fast and the test administrator looked at me funny 😛
