I have a contact that might could prove useful in helping me land a job in a bank. I was just curious what the daily tasks are for a bank IT guy, and how much you enjoy the job.

I believe one of the requirements is to formulate sentences properly.

The guys in our IT department are really good at not returning voicemail or email messages.

I work for a bank but not in the IT department.

It also depends on which department of the bank you are supporting, what kind of computers, servers, applications and OS's.

We use mostly HP Vectra's with W2k and about 20 specialized banking applications.
