anybody work at tower records

u know those big posters and board they have of bands in their window. what do they do with those after they are done with them? one time i asked a person at wherehouse if i could have one and they said they weren't allowed to give them away. why not? what *do* they do with them?! there is one in the towers in westwood of a HUGE WEEZER one and I WANT IT!!!!! ! !!. it's so huge and =w=onderful. i want. anybody know how i can get it??

Most likely they just throw them away. I know with the promotions and whatnot i've been around, as soon as you're done with them, in the trash they go.

They probably just told you they couldn't give them away because they didn't want to go through all the trouble of giving it to you. Next thing you know, they'll get others asking them the same thing.

Here's what I'd do. Go to the store when things are quiet - like right after opening on a weekday. Pick out some CDs you were going to buy anyway. After you pay, ask for the manager, make sure no other customers can overhear, and politely explain that you buy all your CDs there (you do, right?) and you would really like that poster when they are done with it. Explain that you don't want him/her to go to any trouble, you'll come in whenever it's convenient to pick it up and what is the most convenient way to handle it for him/her.

If the manager starts to blow you off, just ask quietly if you could pay $10 for his trouble for getting you the poster. If the answer is still no, I guess you're sunk.

But you'll have a few things going in your favor: you're holding a bag of stuff you just bought, so you're obviously a customer; you made sure no other customers overheard which would put the manager in an awkward situation; and you volunteered to make it as easy as possible.

easy solution. you need the following things: a 4-door car, 3 friends, and a blanket. blanket the top of the car, throw the poster on top, roll down the windows and hold on. trust me, it works the only thing that sucks is that you can't drive fast.
