The burnt guy handled it, not sure if the dad watched the whole thing or not. I thought the dad was thinking it was an elaborate trick of some sort. Denial I suppose.

Yeah, pretty sure he doesn't understand that she's dead...or at least convinced himself she's alive. He's a shrink and otherwise his definition of sanity unravels.
Of course, he's "starting to see things as they are". So that may drive him off the edge anyway.

I have to laugh at yet more dead people haunting that house. Sooo many dead people.

By my count, there appears to be only four characters left that are still alive.
Ben, Constance, the burned dude, and the medium.

the cop too, but i don't think he really will be playing any major role in the finale.

I absolutely LOVE this show!

I hate scary movies, I hate blood and gore, and normally I shy away from anything in the horror genre...

But the writing, plot, character development, and intrigue of the show completely won me over. I can't wait for the season finale tomorrow... I wonder if the dad will be killed, commit suicide, etc.?

Such a good show!!!!! Definitely my new favorite. I also like Parks & Rec :)

just watched the finale.

gotta say i was not a big fan of it and kind of let down. the very very end was an okay way to end it as far as a possible next season, but all in all i just thought it ended very anticlimatic and pretty corny as well.

still it was a great season of tv.

Not sure how the next season will go with the way this one ended. Did I mention how I hate the eternally long wait between seasons on these good shows ??

I agree. This should have been a one season show. The last episode was by far the worst for me. That said, I suppose if next season the show focuses on the boy then it could have promise. I just don't know how they can really have much of a show focusing on that house anymore... *shrugs*

i was talking to this girl who had said she read an interview with the creator of the show, and he was contemplating having a new family in the house every year. and the way the finale started, i started to think that the family coming in may be the new family.

but then they got scared out of the house, and the main family 'lived happily ever after' which i thought was so cheesy and just a cop out ending. it is almost like they just did not know where to take the story so they made up some cliched ending.

but now yea i really have no clue where it is going to go next season. personally, i think the story of the little boy would be pretty lame, but who knows where they could take it.

Yea, I thought it was going to be about the new family next season. That would have been ok, I guess. The spanish chick was hot, so I could get behind that... but it would have essentially been the same story.

I think the anti-christ is the only fresh angle they can take now. Or.... the house gets bulldozed and all the 'ghosts' are set free to roam the earth and create havoc?!? *shrugs*

Im with Cuda1447, the Spanish chick in the final episode was smoking hot. They need to bring her back next year.

Google it. They said the plan was to kill off the entire family the whole time. They are having a new house, new couple next season. There will be familiar faces, but playing different roles. Think of it like Tales from the Darkside, only in miniseries format I guess. I actually liked this show because of everything they did, but knowing that, they will have to be even more creative next season or it'll be, been there done that.
