Wow, reading this was an experiance in itself.

I remember reading a few posts from you about your job and I have always thought that what you do is truly one of the most unselfish profession there is and for you to think of it as a calling is even more admirable. If it really is a calling and helping people is something that makes you happy then you shouldnt let anything stop you find some other ways to help people.

But just from my own experiance the people who are often trying to help the most are those who need help the most. It seems that the feeling you get when you help someone is the reward and you often do it just to make you feel happy and making the other person happy is just an afterthought. Dont know what else to say, hope you will get through this soon and get back on track. Take care.

If i could ask, do you talk with your son about this stuff? are you close? I know if my dad was going through something like this, i'd like to know and i'd be sure to spend a lot more time with him.
