I have this music video I made on my computer...I made it over the summer when I was toying around with Vegas.

The song is Cloud Connected (from In Flames) and the video is from the matrix movies and the animatrix.

The video follows more the words than it does the song, so its not as "exciting" as you might think, though I like how it turned out. I'd read the lyrics if you haven't.

Keep in mind, its a rough video and I never got to polish it, but for a first try at a real music video, I dont think its too bad.

So does anyone want to watch it? http://www.apartment808.com/hans030390/

for a first try, like you said yourself, its not bad
I didnt read the lyrics, nor do i intend to, but to make a good music video, as much as you try to follow the lyrics, I feel there needs to be a more intimate connection with the music.
As a positive, I think your editting was pretty good.
On the downside, I felt the video was rather scattered and randomly thrown together. I had trouble finding an established visual flow.

Well, I suppose I should let you know that I've never done any video editting, Im just talking about things i generally notice in music videos. So take my words for what their worth

Especially when said videos maintain the content's OAR.

Yeah, thats why I would recommend looking them up, because I tried to do the best I could to match the video to the lyrics while fitting it with the music.

I think there was way too much content to use, since I had all of the movies...had I been using just one, it probably would have been better.

The quality of the song is pretty terrible. Is that from compressing the video or does your version of the song just suck? ;)

It's from compressing the video. I downloaded an mp3 version of it, even though I could have ripped a lossless version from the cd, so it naturally got even crappier.
