Any experts here that can address this strange issue via AIM?

I have comcast 6mbs which consistently pulls about 400-500 kilobytes per second. Ever since I went wireless, my download is capped at 200~.

The stranger thing is that if I have multiple downloads from different programs it can exceed 200K~

If I do a bandwidth test at DSLreports, it reports at around 2mbs... so sad... what's wrong?

Wireless router

Network card

The set up is:
Wall wired to Cable modem wired to Wireless Router then WIRELESS to two PCs

This would probably be better in tech support, but...

what type of router? what protocol? signal strength?

EDIT: oh yeah...and what apps? I think your issue may be that you need to configure port forwarding.

What kind of room is the AP in and what is your house set up like?

This sounds a bit like multipath interference.. which way are your antennas facing?

Get a program called Netstumbler and run it and see what your signal strength and signal to noise ratios are.
