Anybody wanna recommend a good beer to go with roast beef?

DARK beer... I'd almost say Guiness... though I think that's more of an after-dinner beer. (you know... when everyone else is drinking hot-chocolate like wussies and you're a real alcoholic (man with balls) and you want a beer)


Hammerhead Red would go nice with it... too bad Hops doesn't bottle their beer..

Harp Lager.. that's a beer to try.. or Newcastle, Honey Brown (maybe), Sam Adams (again maybe)

i didn' treally like guiness last time i tried it, neither did most of my family

i was thinking about going with the newcastle though

Decent beer (3 stooges), but no finish. The flavor peters out as soon as it hits your tounge. It's also too weak for beef (try fish with this pansy brew). You're better off getting something else, like Bell's Porter--thick heavy beer like porter or stout is what you're looking for.
