Oh and also on a side note - anyone see the new ultra-wide monitors? Any idea how bad that would be for DOTA? Ive read that 16:9 is the optimal res, and anything other than that and you will be playing at a disadvantage. Would you have to play with black bars on the side?

I keep seeing good deals for nice ultra wide monitors, but the only game i play is dota so it might be a waste for me to get one.

I don't think Dota 2 will let you play ultra wide monitors. It's a competitive online game. So any advantage over enemies are strictly prohibited.

16:9 is the widest you can get. If you get an ultra wide, you'll be wasting the screen space.
