Personally I'm going for the Extreme6 (probably next month)since it has a nicer BIOS(without that guys face)
how easy was it to get setup and running before you started over clocking? did you have to flash the bios or anything?I don't have a Asrock Fatal1ty P67 Professional but I can comment on Asrock. I have an Asrock P67-Pro3 and I absolutely love the board. I have a 2600K overclocked to 4.6. I have been playing games and encoding videos for the past week and it has been rock solid with no problems. The difference between this setup and my old AMD 955BE is night and day. I especially like the instant boot software which boots up the system to the desktop in about 7 seconds with my new SSD. This is my first Asrock board and so far I am sold on it.
thanx for link, you just made my decision that much harder!!seems ppl are getting very good clocks from the board!!

i want it to go with my sound card!!Seems people are getting good clocks from ALL the boards.......why pay that much more for the Fatality etc
Not that I am an audiophile, but the Asrock P67 Extreme 4 is said to have the worst [EDIT] audio quality of all p67 boards.
BTW, the another downside of the Extreme4 is the ONE year warranty.
But with the money you save, you might as well just go to Squaretrade and get yourself an extended warranty for a relatively low price.
It doesn't look that bad to me at all. I'm not sure exactly how he's testing it, but with "Noise Level", it should be the lower the better. So, that's one graph where it appears by his ordering that it is the worst when it is actually the best. It is midpack in the other tests except dynamic range, which people don't really make full use of anyways.@ tigerbait;
Found it.... it's in dutch, but it's all diagrams.

I'm using an ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional for about a week now & so far is very satisfied with my new mobo. This is my first ASRock mobo as I tend to go with either Asus, Gigabyte or MSI in the past.
The mobo looks very high end. Some of its parts looks very similar to Asus ROG mobo. There's only 2 things I that I don't like with this mobo. First is the Southbridge heatsink which looks like a billboard for Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendell aka "The world's greatest gamer". I'm using a Zalman FC-ZE1 Fatal1ty Champion Series PC case as well as Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty sound card & I have enough of the Fatal1ty branding already. Second is the lack of NF200 Northbridge chipset. Without this you can't run 2 or more of your video cards (on CrossfireX or SLI) on full X16 PCIe express lanes. I find this lack of NF200 chipset not that big of a problem as lots of people said that the performance gain with the excluded chipset is very minimal. Some even said that the excluded chipset is a bottleneck.
This is not really my first P67 mobo choice. My first choice is the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7. I found some significant problems with the PCIe placement on Gigabyte P67 mobos. First is the PCIe X1 PCIe slot very close to the Northbridge heatsink. There's no way for me to used my Fatal1ty sound card in the 1st PCIe slot. The 1st & 2nd PCIe X16 slots also is placed close to each other & can create a heat problem if you're running 2 video cards in CrossfireX or SLI set up.
My second mobo choice is the Asus Maximus IV Extreme. The thing is, I like the standard ATX mobo & the Asus mobo is an Extended ATX mobo. I also doesn't like the Asus mobo's PCIe placement.
ASRock Fatal1ty P67 professional mobo seems to be the right choice for me to go with my Core I7 2600K. It has 6 SATA3 6.0 connectors (both Asus & Gigabyte mobos have only 4). The inclusion of UEFI BIOS interface is also very nice as well as the XFast USB technology.
