I just installed Mandrake 7.0 and the Radeon isn't supported. I've tried to configure the Radeon but to no avail so now I can't change my monitor rez or refresh rate. I need a distro that can support my Radeon. I can get my hands on Mandrake 8.0 but it's beta and I don't want to be anybody's guinea pig.

Quick answers are greatly appreciated because I'm thinking about installing caldera open linux 2.4 tonight.

i'm using a radeon 64mb vivo with mandrake
your gonna need to update to x86 4.02 which has support for the radeon...
althought suposedly hard drake used with mandrake doesn't support it
i could never get it to work

however... mandrake 8.0b which includes x86 4.02 and the 2.4 kernal, works fine for me.
and its a heck of a lot easier... the x86 install with 7.2 kept screwing up my links.

the newest redhat beta (wolverine) has xfree86 4.02 also. radeon worked fine with that.

Also if you if you update your current distro's Xfree86 to 4.0.2 (there should be rpm's to do that) then my radeonconfig program will change your Xfree86Config to use your radeon.
