I have a size 12 in a nike tennis shoe.. but I use orthotics, so my shoe size is more like a size 11. I've been told to buy .5 to 1.0 sizes larger than my shoe size when I buy spikes.

So 11.5?

You would buy .5 to 1.0 larger because they are Nike, not because they are spikes. Spikes for track you want tight fitting and light. Why dont you just go to the shoe store and try on a couple pairs instead of asking? They do have measuring equipment there, and if you get anyone who has been working longer than 2 weeks, they will be able to correctly fit you.

No spikes run small to begin with. That's what I've heard. And, I'm ordering them online because a) i can get 70 dollar spikes for 19.99, and b) i am lazy.

buy an 11, 11.5 and a 12. You'll save 15 dollars. Pawn the other ones that don't fit as well at school. Should be able to fetch more than 20 bucks a pair for them, then you may get yours for free.
