I've read some of the whitepapers and the configuration guide, I'm just wondering if anybody has any personal stories of finding this toolset useful. I'll be configuring Netflow in a lab 3750 stack for starters, and then ultimately in our core and potentially to the distribution layer (all L3 3750 stacks).

Well, for starters, the 3750 does not support Netflow. You are going to need a router, 6500, or a 4500 with the correct Netflow card.

That's funny - probably an hour after I posted that I logged into one of the 3750's and tried configuring it. The commands weren't there, big surprise. So it looks like I have to jump into it with our 6500's and 7206's.

So I guess nobody here has used it? Back to the white papers.

No I have never used MARS w/ NetFlow, but did notice none of Cisco's L3 switches support NetFlow (except 6500/4500), and I'm really disappointed.
On one hand, you're trying to improve switching & LAN routing performance by deploying a L3 switch, but on the other hand, you're complete blind when you need to find the culprit that's downloading huge files and hogging the precious WAN bandwidth.
