I used the pin-mod to up my voltage on a different cpu. Does anyone know if this XP 2400+ would run from 1.60V or 1.55V. Its not overclocked. Its on 1.65V but this board seems to really overvolt. Like 1.65V ends up 1.74V
Did you have to lower the clock speed any or did you just lower the voltage. Because I have to use the pin-mod so everytime I want to change the voltage I have to go through the process of pulling the heatsink and reapplying AS3 each time, so I kinda want to make sure it will run with lower voltage before I do that.
Nope, I just lowered the voltage until it was unstable... but it never became unstable... 1.4 is as low as the BIOS would go. But if you can't adjust the voltage in the BIOS, I wouldn't bother.
