Any specific stores/brands? Ikea? Bed, Bath, & Beyond? Looking for just a pad.

Do you not have the space for a bed or the money?
Reading this thread, it seems like it would cost a chunk of money to make a futon comfy.
I crashed on my friend's futon a few times. It's pretty comfy, but once every 3 months is not same as every night.

Guilty. :( It is a twin on metal frame, and it squeaks too much so we are getting a bed. I want a waterbed but don't know if she'll go for that.

I was thinking about getting a futon for my bed when I move out in a month, but thats only cause Im a cheap and know a bed is going to cost a hell of a lot more. Ive slept on a few futons, wasnt that bad, but not sure if I could do it every day.

Which would cost more, a comfy futon with a good mattress or a standard full bed?

I've been sleeping on a metal frame futon for almost two years, with foam on top of the matress, but I still feel the bars. I'd try the wood frame version.

I had one and it was the best damn bed for a single guy made. Helps with traction... ;) LoL

Ditto :( I like that they fold up into a sofa, useful in my room cos i don't have room for both, and my PC is my entertainment system/tv/everything.

If i'm to get something else will be a wooden one, probably with a lot of foam from what you guys are sayin!
