anybody try virusscan 5.x?

Don't bother. I made the upgrade and wish I hadn't. It is much more bloated than Virusscan 4.x and was a major pain to install. I still haven't recovered from all the damage.
 
yeah i have 5.02 installed on one of my systems here. same interface as 4.0, and same scan engine i think. if 4.0 works, stick with it, not much of a noticeable difference with 5.0.
 
I have version 5.1 and the interface seems totally different than 4.03. And not for the better! Until Mcafee stops providing definitions for version 4, I wouldn't update.
 
I have just installed V5.1 & it seems quicker on scanning then the old V4 ,anyway so far not bad but I don`t think it`s worth upgrading just yet from V4 ,unless you want faster scanning & tweaked interface with a few more options.
