I had some trouble because, while I have djgpp, I don't have any windows components for it. I finally got it to compile by using the Linux version for a Windows command line client, and removing all the networking code.
But once compiled, I found the client was running about 5% faster than the GUI, and I think 3% faster than the CLi. 🙂 And that's with what is ostensibly the same compiler. I understand GNU doesn't make a good optimizing compiler, so I was wondering if anybody cares to try it with another compiler? I would, but my Borland version doesn't support the 32-bit assembly language files.
